88th Edition of Know India Programme (KIP)
As you are aware, KIP is a flagship programme of the Ministry of External Affairs that seeks to reconnect youth of Indian origin, including Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), as well as for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) age-group of 18-28 years with their ethnic roots besides showcasing the rich cultural heritage of India and its recent spectacular developmental efforts. Through this Programme, Ministry endeavours to present various facets of contemporary Indian Arts, Heritage, Culture, Economy, Innovations, Start-ups, Science & Technology, etc., to the youth members of the Indian Diaspora and strives to motivate and inspire them to contribute and participate in the transformative initiatives of the Government of India as part of its march towards Viksit Bharat.
2. Since its inception in 2003-04, Ministry has successfully organized 87 editions of the KIP with participation of 3153 youth PIO members. The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India invites applications from Indian Diaspora Youth Members in the age group of 24–28 years (Young Professionals) for the upcoming 88th edition of the Know India Programme (KIP) by the Ministry from 16-29 August 2026.
3. Interested individuals may submit scanned copy of duly filled Application Form and required documents to the Consulate General of India, Houston by email on trade.houston@mea.gov.in by 16 July 2026 respectively. Please find attached the application form and guidelines for your information.
